To those who do actually take the time to read my posts, I am going on hiatus. Fancy word for vacation. Seriously, some of my accounts and my wife's accounts have been compromised. A mutual decision has been reached and we are removing access to the internet. It might take a while to sort it out, but never fear, we will be back.

I might be able to jump over to my father-law's computer, but it won't be that often.

An Open Letter to the “Occupiers” across the Nation.

Hi guys,

I know you don’t want to hear from me (I am part of the radical right).  I think you should know that you are in the line of fire.  What’s more, your “helpers” ( LSM, various pundits, George Soros, Bloomberg, Krugmen) are excited by the prospect of bloodshed. Yours. You are in the line of fire. The shots won’t be coming from Tea Partiers, nor will they be coming from the average joe on the street. They will be coming from the Union Thugs in your presence and the police. You will just be in the way.

How it starts will vary. Sometimes it starts with two of you guys fighting. Getting yourself bloodied and the cops intervene to prevent serious body damage and all of a sudden the whole park, square, block or occupied space is in a fight. A shot rings out, and five minutes later, one in ten, or one in five lay fallen and no one knows how it happened. Another way is to get a few of you drunk or spiced up on a drug. Get you going and send you forth to your doom. Only you think it is a righteous indignation which your opponents will instantly recognize. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. By the time, your opponents find out your intentions, you or your friends will be on a morgue slab waiting for your parents to identify you. You won’t be prettied up for their sensibilities. It could also start because of that suicidal idiot you stayed away from all through college. Now, this idiot wants to be a martyr to some higher cause and has picked suicide by cop as the way to change astral planes. The problem?  It is in or near your occupied space.

Once you have been shot and maybe killed, several things will happen at once. Your “helpers” will blame Tea Partiers, Right Wing Radio, Conservatives and Republicans for the bloodshed and your deaths. Your “helpers” will site false examples and throw up straw dogs about how the right wing of this country led you to your untimely deaths. There will be talk shows ad nauseam. How horrible it is for you to die. Another roundtable to denounce the tragedy of your demise will be convened for the next weekend. Three weeks from now, you won’t be remembered because Lady Gaga fell off a stage during a performance.

Obama will love the fact that now he has martyrs to beat off the right wing pundits. He might even declare martial law because of it. (That last is a reach, but then again, who knew that the United States would be ran by a socialist?) I know he won’t have the incidents properly investigated. His sycophants will jump in with conclusions that are false . They will be widely backed and spread by your “helpers”. God and you know what really happened, but it doesn’t help the people designated to clean-up your mistakes or your bodies.

Your parents, if they are proud of your actions, will attempt to sue the government. If they are successful, you will have paid back your parents for the “education” you received. (On the attempt to sue, it would rest on proper investigations. Something your Obama won’t let happen.  So, your parents might not be able to sue. I am not sure if the life insurance they bought covers your death being involved in an insurrection.  You might ask your parents.)

Your parents, if they aren’t proud of your actions, will collect your bodies, cry a little or a lot. They will ask God to take care of you, and pray for your souls. I know you don’t believe in souls, but they do. Give your grieving parents some slack. The apples of their eyes have just been killed to help a loser President’s re-election prospects. I just hope your parents aren’t made of the same stuff as Cindy Sheehan. She went off the deep end. There is little hope for her.

As to who actually cares? Well, I for one. I am warning you about the possible consequences of your actions. What will happen should violence erupt. I am not talking about the violence of talk. I am talking about the casual violence that can be inflicted on essentially defenseless people on a battle field. The defenseless people are you the Occupiers. The battlefields are the spaces you have decided to occupy.

As to your so-called demands, have you done the following: Allowed me to sleep in your bed, eat your food, play with your toys, drive your car, throw up on your couch, break your Darth Vader collectible  or done something for me that I consider outstanding? Have you ever bought a beer for me? If you have, then maybe you might have some recompense coming. As it is, nope, you don’t have anything coming.  You have nothing I want or need. I don’t need your skills. I don’t need your help. I, on the other hand, do have something that you have yet to find. A thought of your own. It really doesn’t surprise me. Since you have been given everything, why should you have thoughts of your own?  Your rhetoric, that is, what you are saying, claiming or demanding has been muttered by others down through the ages. They are justifications and beliefs that thieves use to assuage guilt. Is it your intention to steal from me or mine? Be careful. Some of us own guns. We cling to them along with our bibles.

 You have nothing to show for yourself except this absurd protest which might get you killed. If you did have something worthy you would be with that and developing it. As it is, you are in miserable conditions. If the police do arrest you, not only are they getting you out of harm’s way, they are bringing you to a  building which keeps the weather out. It is called jail. They are doing you a favor.

If you insist on sticking around, don’t say I didn’t warn you. If you also are hoping that the government will accommodate you or give you what you want…. Sorry, it is broke. Obama made sure of that. Businesses and individuals may take pity on you, but their profit margins and spare cash has been siphoned up because of this lousy economy. People are just barely holding on. You will be treated like a red-headed stepchild. You will get what no one else wants.


Here is the real strange thing. The longer you stick around, the more likely a tragedy will happen.

Well, Oakland "Occupiers"  have been involved in a riot. I hope you guys understand that you have been duped by your "helpers". George Soros never really cared whether you survived this sit in. I tried to warn you, but sometimes people like you have to be taught by the cruel hand of reality. All this accomplished was some inconvenience by some people. 


My suggestion now is to retreat. Go back to your empty lives and try to put some reality in this time. Try to find something worthy. I know.....Self improvement. Learn a skill. By the way, texting is not a skill. Neither is sitting on your butts complaining and sniveling about the world and doing nothing. That isn't a skill. It is the mark of an adult baby. Babies have no skills except pooping and crying which has been aptly demonstrated by your various groups.

New Rant about Tea Partiers

Is it just me, or does the Tea Party people think that they own the country? Last time I checked, they didn't. They don't even coordinate. I am sure they don't think things through.

Ben Stein said that the Tea Party guys are way off base for demanding deeper cuts. I agree with Ben Stein. If we were to cut off spending the way some of the Tea Partiers envision, we would be putting too many people out of work. People who would vote against the Tea Party candidates. People who would have loads of time on their hands to vote down a Tea Party candidate.

Look down to see the comments. Over half of them think it is easy to cut. What they don't realize, most of the budget is on entitlements like social security, pensions, medicare, medicaid, welfare and the like. Direct payments to people.

This pie chart shows just what the budget spends. Now, if we do cut out a good portion of this by slashing everything, there better be a full two years before a new election. Otherwise there is going to be a huge group of people pissed off. Most of them will vote TEA partiers out in a second.

Right now, we have the elected Democrats in a precarious position. They have made too many changes. They have been too restrictive towards all businesses except their select few. They have been arrogant and unresponsive. And they have threatened the businesses who haven't left with more regs and taxes.

This has demoralized their base and destroyed most of the good will they have accumulated over the years. Now, we have the Tea Partiers and the recipients of government largess. If the recipients of government largess get in their minds that voting against Tea Party Candidates keeps their goodies coming (and so far they haven't), they will make sure that the ones that promise the goodies stay in charge.

The Tea Partiers still don't have a chance in hell if the people who usually stay at home and don't vote but get most of the money decide that it is time to flex their muscle. The bad economy and the poor employment rate and the stupid things said by the Democrats have combined to create the notion that the Democrats shouldn't be running this country. That can change overnight.

The Tea Party is the largest winner so far, but in truth it has been long PR campaign. Forcing the US to default is not too bright just a year and four months out. It give the Democrats time and room to portray the Tea Party People as loons. A fantastic beautiful uprising will have been wasted because these people can't restrain themselves.

Concealed Carry Laws

Concealed Carry Laws usually involve the applicant supplicating the state for the permission to carry a hidden fire arm. It is promoted as a safety thing, a data record of people who could possibly be carrying a gun for the cops. It is so that cops won't hassle people who feel it is necessary for them to carry a concealed weapon. A taxi driver for instance.

It usually involves onerous responsibilities for the supplicant to carry out while in order to keep a hidden gun. One is announcing to any cop who approaches that he is armed. Dumb question, Doesn't that fly in the face of common sense. A person goes through expensive training and effort to obtain a permit. He or she then allows personal information on to a data base accessible to any cop (assuming the cop can read) on the fly with the computers that permeate our culture now. Why does this person need to tell the cop then? Safety says the general public. Safety for who? Safety for the Cop. He is supposed to know this, he has it available. Ah, maybe he really doesn't know. Why then the coolio database and the rigamarole of training courses if the cops aren't going to access it? Kinda stupid hunh? Also kinda stupid for the cop to not assume that the person he is stopping doesn't have a gun. The cop is paid for risking his life. No one held a gun to his head or threatened legal action if he didn't take the job on the police force. Also, I haven't heard that there is a draft for police men. So, why the overblown concern for the safety of an officer?

I understand that the cop is in a tough situation. He is being asked to blindly stop people when he sees something that is amiss. But is he really that blind? Something is amiss. Out of the ordinary. Car tags out of date, a woman standing outside a car late at night, a car with a driver matching the description of a bank robber. Surely a cop doesn't stop a car simply to stop a car. So the cop isn't that blind. I do think the cops sometimes are willfully ignorant, but that is something for a later date.

As it stands right now, if a cop stops a CCW person, and the person doesn't immediately tell the cop he or she has a gun, then the cop has the right to arrest this person and take him to jail. This is assuming the cop has given the person a chance to announce to all and sundry the fact that he is carrying a concealed weapon. A fact that the person had wished kept silent, for what else the need to have a concealed weapon.

How soon is immediate? Two nano-seconds? Three? Five? Or is it in seconds? Minutes? Hours? At first possible chance? Kind of gray area there.

What happens if he forgets, the cop doesn't see the gun and nothing was found to be out of order? Then he informs the cop that he has a ccw permit. Can the cop arrest him then? Should the cop arrest him? Nothing else was found amiss. It is a technical violation of a questionable statute.

I also have a problem with the asking of a state the permission to carry a weapon. Concealed or not.

Consider the 2nd amendment of the United States Constitution. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

At no point in this amendment is there an exception about weapons concealed or not. To be a little fair, it was assumed back then that the stupid man was the one who didn't carry a gun.

The demand that people apply for a concealed carry weapons permit is a liberal nostrom usually with some sort of skid in it that makes the permittee work overtime in getting it. The skid is to stop people from getting and bearing guns. Or make it normal for a person to "ask the state" permission for a right they already have. It then makes it easier intellectually for the state to demand they give up their guns.
